Will the champion be a European team on home soil in Amsterdam? Will it be a North American team invading Europe? Here's what you might see when the action kicks off Saturday at 7 a.m. ET.

Match 1: NRG versus Precision Z

This first match features North America's No. 1 seed and Europe's No 4. Normally these matches aren't close, but Precision Z has shown the ability to take down anyone and create magical upsets. While Precision Z might not create the magic it has shown in the past, it's expected to keep it close. NRG choked last time, but it surely won't choke in the very first match of the event.

May 08, 2020 The RLCS Season 2 World Championships in Amsterdam was the only major LAN he won, but if you’re going to win just one, a world championship isn’t a bad pick. He came close to winning more several times, including a second-place finish in the Universal Open 2v2 alongside Kyle “Scrub Killa” Robertson.

Prediction: NRG 3-2 Precision Z

Match 2: Northern Gaming versus Genesis

North America's third seed will look to keep the train rolling in Amsterdam, but coming up against Northern Gaming is no feeble task. This set should really be a chance for either team to establish itself at the Grand Finals and steady the emotions on LAN. Unfortunately for Genesis, this set shouldn't be too close with Northern Gaming looking like the second-best team in the world.

Match 3: FlipSid3 Tactics versus Take 3

I would love to say Take 3 could win this. I really would. It cannot. FlipSid3 Tactics has looked incredible in recent months and seems to, once again, be the best team in the world. Take 3 simply does not have the individual skill or teamplay to be expected to keep up with FlipSid3. This set should reflect that and FlipSid3 should be able to comfortably advance to the latter rounds and probably the finals. If Take 3 were to pull off this upset, it would be one of the largest in Rocket League history.

Prediction: FlipSid3 3-0 Take 3

Match 4: Mockit Aces vs Orbit

A matchup of two of the best teams in the world in the first round -- what could be better? Orbit comes in as the North American No. 2 seed, but for a majority of the season seemed the best team in the league by a large margin. Mockit Aces, on the other hand, are the stalwart third-best in Europe's Big Three and will be hoping to round off the day with a European three-peat. This should be one of the best matches of the day between two very good teams; in the end Orbit may just edge it over the European giants.

Prediction: Orbit 3-2 Mockit Aces
